Total Access 5000 Load Calculators

This section of the Support Community contains heat dissipation, power, and current specifications used to ensure that a Total Access 5000 Series Chassis is not overloaded.

NOTICE: The Load Calculators automate the summation of the total Amps and Watts in response to the number of units selected by the end user. The load calculators do not take into account the available total slots of a given chassis, the slots that a module may be used in, the adjacent slot requirements for a module, or any other configuration limitations. It is up to the end user of the Load Calculator to know the configuration rules and limitations of their Total Access 5000 Series Chassis.

This information is not intended to provide GR-63-CORE or GR-3108-CORE heat dissipation and floor space planning criteria.

The total number of modules permitted in the Total Access 5000 Series Chassis depends upon the type of chassis and fan assembly used and the total current draw and total chassis heat dissipation of the modules installed in the chassis.

For heat dissipation and current draw values for equipment external to the Total Access 5000 Series Chassis, refer to the Job Aid for the product.

The Maximum Chassis Ratings Table below provides the maximum rated chassis heat dissipation in both central office (CO)and remote terminal (RT) installations, the maximum rated chassis current and power consumption, and the maximum size of the Branch-Circuit Overcurrent Protection Device (Fuse or Circuit Breaker) allowed.
